Auchroisk, which is owned by Justerini & Brooks, is one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland. It was founded in 1974, completed in 1975 and has won architectural awards for its design.

In addition to its main function as a distillery, Auchroisk is a meeting place for all the other Highland distilleries’ malts that are used in J & B. They are vatted together according to the ‘secret recipe’ and tankered off to the group’s blending centre near Glasgow. There they are brought together with the Lowland, Islay, Campbeltown and grain whiskies of different ages that make the final blend of over 40 whiskies.

Here are a selection of whiskies produced by Justerini & Brooks at the Auchroisk Distilery:

Gordon & Macphail - Auchroisk (pronounced Athrusk). Most of the production was destined for the J & B blend, however some malt was bottled as 'The Singleton' due to the perceived difficulty with pronouncing the name.
