Review  :   This tavern is over 400 years old ! Well, the building is anyway. This place has lots of character and history, it also has a well stocked bar and good food. There are a few good real ales to chose from and more than a few good whiskies to get through.  I spent a very pleasant afternoon here with my good friend John, talking with the barman and the rest of the people in the bar. There is also a beer garden outside, although we never ventured that far. This tavern is now probably better known for its good food, rather than just being a bar.

Worth a visit for the history alone.
