Aultmore Distillery was built by Alexander Edward in 1897. One year after opening production was doubled. in 1923 the distillery was sold to John Dewar & Sons, after passing through some more hands and being totally rebuilt in 1971, it was bought once again by John Dewar & Sons in 1998. Aultmore Distillery produces some single malts but most of its whisky goes to the Dewar's White Label blend.

Aultmore 12 Year Old Chieftan's Choice  46%

Finished in a Medoc wine cask, which has lent the whisky notes of strawberries and cream, spices and grape.

Dewar's White Label 40%

This was first created over a century ago by the Dewars master blender and contains around 40 different whiskies. 

Nose:     Honey, peach, apple and wood. Cut hay.

Palate:   Medium, vanilla fudge, smoke, toffee, heather honey, oak.

Finish:    Good length, cut herbs, honeyed sweetness.
