Review  :   This is one of the best bars, pubs or Inn's that Scotland has to offer. It is a welcome sight tucked away in the rugged beauty of Glencoe. It has three bars, live music, great food, a great selection of real ales and whiskies and very friendly, welcoming staff. I've been here many times and always find something special about this place every time I come, whether it is the warm real fire in the winter or sitting outside taking in the views in the summer. There is also accommodation available, but you better be quick as this place is very popular !

If you are Scottish, or if you are coming to Scotland for a visit, I would urge you to come and experience Glencoe and the welcome of the Clachaig Inn.

Comment : When I first visited GlenCoe a couple of years ago I didn´t know the Clachaig exits. I am from germany but in my heart I have always been scottish. So I went to GlenCoe to feel the nature and I found so much more. When I first entered the Clachaig I was overwhelmed. A wooden bar, very welcoming staff and very good food at fair prices. Live music at the weekends and everywhere nice people. I definitly will come back this year for the 5th time and I already know I'll shed tears when I have to leave...

When we arrived to live in Duror we knew nothing of the pub scene around us, we went to Oban and Fort William pubs until one day a friend said to us he would take us to "The Clachaig Inn"
never heard of it we said. So off we went and it was on a road that past a caravan site where we could get showers (Another story) we had no idea on this road was the pub. We were amazed and fell in love with the place "As the best pub in the whole area" it is now our local. Coming to the highlands? get to Glencoe pass, enjoy the scenery of the mountains and desolation (winter is best, my opinion) and then make way to the "The Clachaig Inn" you will never forget it.

In April 2019 my Brother and I travelled to Scotland from Australia, to visit the home of our ancestors, Dunrobin Castle. My brother did all the organising and had booked us in to the Clachaig Inn for 3 nights. We fell in love with the Inn, using it as a base for trips to Fort William, the Roman Army Museum and Hadrian's Wall. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, the local beers and single malt scotch sensational, the rooms a little on the small side, but comfy, the Bar and Dining staff could not do enough for us, if you are going to venture to the Scottish Highlands, make sure you visit and stay at Clachaig, because you will be able to say, I have been to one of the most breathtaking locations anywhere in the world and enjoyed hospitality at it's best. We were returning this year but the pandemic put a stop to that, but I will return as soon as it is safe to do so.
