The Glen Ord Distillery was established in 1838 by Thomas MacKenzie. As with most distilleries, it passed through many owners hands. In 1923 it was bought by John Dewar & Sons who went on to change the name of the single malt that was produced there from Glen Oran to the now more familiar Glen Ord. The whisky produced here has also been known as Glenordie, Ordie and Ord. The distillery was mainly rebuilt in the 1960's with the number of stills increasing from two to six. It is currently owned by Diageo.

Glen Ord 12 Year Old  43%

An exuberantly spicy malt, with plenty of sherry influence, Glen Ord is a fine example of the Highland style and very good value for money.

Glen Ord 25 Year Old 58.3%

A superlative bottling of Glen Ord, this 25yo boasts massive fruit with a hint of smoke. Tremendous depth of flavour and balance, prompting Jim Murray to award this 95 points in his Whisky Bible.
