The Plockton Brewery was opened in 2007 by Andy Will who is a retired Royal Navy Officer. Andy wanted to supplement his Retirement Pay from the Royal Navy and what better business to enter into than a brewery ? He took the BrewLab "Introduction To Brewing" course and then put together a business plan for the brewery. The brewery is situated at Andy's home and the opening ceremony is available for all to see on YouTube. The brewery started of with a capacity of 1BBL, it now has as a capacity of 2.5BBL. This not only increases the capacity for production of beer, it has also helped with the quality and consistency of the beer produced by Andy here at the Plockton Brewery.
