Review  :   This is a great drinking man's pub. The landlord here has obviously been in the trade for years, he was friendly in an honest, old school, not learned in a manual kind of way and his bar reflects this. There were a lot of locals in when we were there, but even although we are not local, we were made to feel welcome. The bar itself was well stocked with some real ales and good whiskies and the walls have old signed rugby shirts on the walls. I didn't go out to the beer garden, but I will the next time I'm here. Worth a visit.

Popped in on 17.02.2016 with my girlfriend as part of birthday trip to Peebles.Barman was excellent and informative as was the barmaid who swapped over.We were given free soup and the quality of real ale was second to none.beautiful wee pub with friendly regulars and well preserved Victorian toilets. Can't wait to return for a pint again.

Lovely bar packed on Saturday Grand National day. Unfortunately either a customer or the bar man had really bad B.O. not nice as it is a small bar . Sausage rolls in a basket was quite off putting don't know how long they lay there . Would go back as thought out of all the bars it was the best.
