Review  :   Good solid down to earth pub. As the name suggests it is in the centre of St Andrews, surrounded by shops and fairly busy streets. There is a central bar which takes up a lot of room in the pub but this makes it look and feel busy even when there is only a few people in. I had a pint of award winning real ale with my good friend John early in the afternoon and moved on. We came back later on and had dinner here, the beer was great and the food was OK. There was a friendly atmosphere and a gentle buzz about this place that I liked.
