Review  :   The Jolly Judge is a great wee pub with a very relaxed atmosphere. I don't know if it is because it is below ground or because it is through a vennel away from the busy Royal Mile, but every time I go there I feel myself unwinding half way through the first pint. There is no music there, which makes talking to each other a lot easier, and they do a great pint of cider, just look below for the evidence !!!

Possibly my favourite pub. It shut down for a while so was pleasantly surprised to find it open again during a pub crawl in Edinburgh last year. There should be more quaint wee pubs like these.
