Traditional Scottish Ales started brewing in January 2004 using the name City of Stirling Brewery. It is a sister brewery to Bridge of Allen and Trossachs Craft Brewery. During late 2005 a new company was formed to allow further investment and the brewery name was changed to the Stirling Brewery at the same time. The name then changed to it's current version, Traditional Scottish Ales Ltd, in 2006. This brewery is run by Douglas Ross and is a division of Scottish drinks company VC2. Douglas was a hotelier for many years and is a real ale enthusiast with a passion for producing great new ales.
