Scotland's Wineries

Picture

Scotland is not well known for it's wine, and I believe this due to the climate. Grapes need one hundred days to ripen and in that time they need a lot of sun and heat. Sun and heat are not Scotland's strongest points.

We are however excellent at making fruit wines such as bramble, elderflower, raspberry, etc. These wines can sometimes be an acquired taste but are well worth the effort.

Please see below a selection of Scotland's wineries, If you know of any others then please contact me:

A little help ?...........

It takes a lot of time effort and money to go to as many bars, clubs, inns, etc as I do. It takes even more effort, (and money), to drink the amount of Great alcohol I do. It then takes an even greater effort to remember  all the nonsense I get up to then tell you about it.

Please help by buying me a drink !!!

This will help keep my bar bill down to an almost manageable level.

Cheers !

Alastair

P.S. A glass of wine costs about £4 these days
